Privacy Policy for Mizanly

Mizanly is a personal finance management and money intelligence application developed and published by ZarmasTech. This Privacy Policy explains how Mizanly accesses, collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use the app.

1. Information You Provide

Mizanly may process information that you voluntarily enter into the app, including:

• Name, email address and authentication information
• Accounts and account balances
• Income, expenses, transfers, and transaction details
• Budgets, savings goals, loans, bills, subscriptions, and credit-card information
• Categories, merchants, tags, notes, and transaction splits
• Receipt images and information extracted from receipts
• Preferences, settings, and other information you choose to save

Mizanly does not require online-banking credentials and does not connect directly to your bank account unless such functionality is explicitly introduced and disclosed in a future version.

2. Firebase Services

Mizanly uses Google Firebase services to provide authentication, cloud data storage, security, reliability, backend functions, and optional diagnostics. Financial workspace data associated with your account may be stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is isolated by authenticated user account.

Services may include Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase App Check, Cloud Functions, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring. Analytics and diagnostic features operate according to applicable Mizanly privacy settings and consent choices.

3. Advertising

The free version of Mizanly may display advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other device or usage information as permitted by consent choices and applicable law. Where required, Mizanly uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent or provide privacy choices. Eligible Mizanly Pro users may not be shown advertising according to the applicable product features.

4. Receipt Images and OCR

Mizanly can attach receipt images to financial records and can use on-device text recognition to help identify receipt information. Receipt text recognition is performed locally using Google ML Kit Text Recognition. Receipt images that you choose to retain or include in supported backup features may be stored or transferred as necessary to provide those features.

5. Google Drive Backup

If you choose to connect Google Drive, Mizanly may use your Google account authorization to create, access, or restore Mizanly backup data in the hidden app-specific storage area of your own Google Drive account. Google Drive access is optional and Mizanly does not use your Google Drive content for advertising.

6. Local Device Data

Some information may be stored locally on your device to provide preferences, saved filters, favourites, security settings, cached calculations, app-lock functionality, receipts, attachments, and other app functionality. Mizanly also reduces unnecessary cloud requests and performs financial calculations locally where practical.

7. Security

Mizanly uses safeguards intended to protect user information, including authenticated user isolation, encrypted transport, server-authoritative security controls, secure local storage where applicable, PIN and biometric protection, restricted network security settings, backup controls, and data-cleanup processes. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Data Sharing

Mizanly does not sell your personal financial information. Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the app, including Google services such as Firebase, Google Drive, Google ML Kit, Google Play services, and Google AdMob, subject to their respective privacy policies and applicable permissions or consent. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect users, ZarmasTech, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity.

9. Data Retention

Financial data may remain associated with your Mizanly account while the account is active or until you delete the relevant information. Local information may remain on your device until it is deleted through Mizanly, the app is uninstalled, app storage is cleared, or the applicable cleanup process is performed. Backup files intentionally created in your own Google Drive account may remain there until you delete them from Google Drive.

After permanent account deletion, Mizanly may retain a minimal one-way deletion marker solely for security, fraud prevention, and to prevent delayed backend or Google Play billing events from recreating data for a deleted account. The marker does not contain your email address, financial records, purchase token, order ID, or account profile. Limited deletion-request correspondence may also be retained where reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Google Play and other service providers may independently retain transaction, operational, or security information under their own retention obligations.

10. Account and Data Deletion

Mizanly provides two deletion options:

• Delete financial data: deletes the finance workspace while keeping the Firebase login account and any valid Mizanly Pro entitlement.
• Permanently delete account: deletes the Firebase Authentication account, Mizanly profile and complete Firestore user tree (including the server-side Pro entitlement), and Mizanly-side billing records directly linked to that Firebase user ID.

You can initiate deletion in the app under Settings → Account & Data or use the public resource: Mizanly Account & Data Deletion.

Permanent Mizanly account deletion does not cancel or refund purchases or subscriptions managed independently by Google Play. Cancel an active subscription in Google Play if you no longer want future charges. Mizanly Pro purchases are securely bound to the Mizanly account that initiated them, so an existing Google Play purchase may not transfer to a different Mizanly account created after permanent deletion.

Google Drive backups are stored in your own Google Drive app-data area and are not automatically removed by an external Mizanly deletion request. If you want those backups removed, delete them from Mizanly's Backup & Restore feature before deleting the account, or manage the app's stored data through your Google account where available.

11. Children's Privacy

Mizanly is intended for adults and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

12. International Users

Mizanly may be available in multiple countries. Information may be processed in countries where Mizanly's service providers operate. Privacy rights may vary depending on location.

13. Your Privacy Choices

• Control advertising consent and privacy options
• Enable or disable optional analytics and diagnostics where available
• Export supported personal data
• Delete financial data
• Permanently delete your Mizanly account
• Disconnect optional Google Drive access

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated when Mizanly's features, service providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The latest version will be published here with an updated revision date.
